Wedding Planning
Life has been pretty crazy for the past few weeks. Right after school got out I drove with Blake back to California. 14 hours! But we made it. While in California I got my wedding bouquet put together and had a bridal shower!
So many people showed up! It was so nice to see everyone. I got lots of presents too :)
The day after my bridal shower I flew back to Utah. I'm staying with my grandpa here until I get married since he lives 10 minutes away from Zane's house. I had my records transfered to my grandpa's ward and I'm starting to take temple prep classes.
That Friday (July 29th), me and Zane left at 7:00 a.m. for Idaho! We got to the Idaho Falls temple around 10:20. Katie got married at 10:30, and by the time we finally saw her outside it was around 12! She looked so beautiful and happy. I'm so happy for her! Following that we went to the luncheon at 2p.m. and I had to be at the reception early for pictures.
After helping set up, there wasn't a whole lot for us to do once the reception started, so we passed the time by eating desserts! We ate brownies, cream puffs, and cheesecake.
We left the reception early because it's a 3 and 1/2 hour drive back, and we got back around 11. We finally ate dinner (We were starving!) then Zane took me back to my grandpa's house.
After Katie's wedding we really started cranking down on our wedding checklist. Me and Zane do wedding planning everyday. Some days are more stressful than others. Designing our invitation was probably the most stressful thing yet. Long story short, we had to re-do the whole invitation twice (after seeing that it wouldn't work after it printed). It takes about 3 hours per side to design. Then we spent a whole day at the copy spot trying to print the alignment correctly. But finally, we got the alignment perfect and it's all done! All the invitations are printed and we've started addressing some envelopes. We finished our wedding registry and added stuff in-store (before all the stuff was online only since we made our registries online in Rexburg). We've also been hanging out with friends and going on walks and bike rides. I really like riding bikes. I think if I did BYU-I all over again I would have had a bike in the fall. Anyway, this week along with finishing the invitations we got the wedding cake finalized and picked up my veil and tiara I'm borrowing from my cousin. We got to take home our tester cake! I'm pretty sure I ate most of it. It is soooo good. The top and bottom layers of our cake are white cake with cheesecake filling and raspberry filling. The middle layer is the same thing with chocolate cake. The fondant is white chocolate instead of regular fondant and it's so good! I love my wedding cake haha. Yesterday we cleaned and vacuumed out Zane's car, and man, that thing can hide so much stuff! It's too bad we couldn't find TomTom (Zane's long lost GPS) but we're pretty sure now someone stole it. But it's not too big of a deal because Zane's phone has a really nice GPS app that we've used for... everything here so far. Haha. We've still got a lot ahead to plan. I also have another bridal shower next week and a bachelorette party the week after! Fun stuff! With everything we have to do we're taking it one day at a time. Stress aside, I'm having so much fun in Utah! :)

Time for an update!
Wow, it's been a long time since I've updated my blog! So much has happened since my last post.
Went on a double date at the rollerskating rink in Idaho Falls!
Went to Zane's ward again, and we decided to have a random photo shoot... haha :)

I had my interview in Utah for the Utah College of Dental Hygiene, and I got accepted! YES! :) :)

The plasma center screwed up my arm.... I lost a pint of blood... so basically I donated plasma and blood on the same day, and they scratched both sides of my veins! Thanks plasma center! The bruise didn't go away for 3 weeks. Ridiculous.

Horseback riding class ended. Was a lot of fun! Superman (my horse) was pretty stubborn at times though. Haha
So basically since I've been engaged I've been really busy. Lots of planning! Today I have some free time since I'm basically done with school and just have to take finals. I've also been doing well in my chemistry class, and it looks like I'll get a B out of it! Take that chemistry! Haha.

Happy Birthday Zane!
So yesterday was Zane's birthday! The big 23! Haha. Because of his crazy schedule, he let me know that I wouldn't be seeing him until late, so I had to change my plans. Instead of making piroshki for dinner, I made it right after class and surprised Zane by taking it to his apartment while he was on break. It was nice to see him earlier than was planned! After I went back to my apartment and started making oreo truffles. I let the filling harden in the fridge while I donated plasma. When I got home I finished the truffles by dipping them in chocolate. I didn't go to track practice because of donating plasma. Instead I did my homework and waited until Zane could come over. Finally he came over to my apartment and he opened his present. I got him trail mix, pistachio nuts, orange slices, and a wallet. He liked everything I got him. After we watched TV and we ate the oreo truffles! Or should I say Zane ate almost all of them... haha. Of course I got some pictures! :) |

1st Track meet!
So today was our first track meet! Me and Blake are on team Thunder (dark blue). We both signed up to race the 800m. Zane came to cheer us both on. The boys raced first so I took pictures of Blake racing. Right before my race, I gave the camera to a girl take pictures of me, and she didn't take any pictures of me! She thought I was wearing a red jersey for some reason... wow. But that's ok. I got 2:53 on my 800m, I remember in high school I got a 2:43. Not too close to beating that, haha.
So after my race I was coughing so much! It was crazy. I didn't stop coughing for 10 minutes, quite literally. It started raining towards the end of the meet so I decided I was going to leave but then this girl came up to me and explained that a girl didn't show up to race the 4x4 and asked if I wanted to do it... so I agreed to do it. I wish I had brought food, because I had no energy since the 800m to race the 400m... but oh well. I was the first leg and didn't do too horribly, lol.
After the track meet I took a picture with everyone who raced the 4x4 and then we left. Blake, me, and Zane went to Teriyaki Express and got the special. That place is so good! I love teriyaki chicken... and rice. :) So it was a pretty good first track meet. I even got a little sunburned on my shoulders! Haha. I know I will do better in the upcoming track meets. Go team Thunder!

6 Months!
So Friday was mine and Zane's 6 month anniversary. To celebrate, we decided to go eat at Olive Garden! Zane came and picked me up around 7 and brought me roses. :)
He tried to find yellow roses (my favorite) but Rexburg is so lame and has a few selection to choose from. You can't tell from the picture, but these roses are peach colored. Anywho, then we drove down to Idaho Falls and went to Olive Garden. They gave us the buzzer thing and told us we had a 20 minute wait. It was funny because our buzzer thing started playing music so we went in and they're like, "Oh, was it playing music? It does that when you've gone too far out of range." We were only in the parking lot! FAIL. So finally it buzzed and we went in and got a table. I got the chicken alfredo and Zane got chicken parmesan. We decided that one of us would get the salad and one would get the soup (because of free refills!) so that was good.
I LOVE the salad and breadsticks. I think I ate 6 breadsticks... :) The food was good too. We shared our entrees. Then we went back to Rexburg (got a little lost getting back on the freeway due to the highway and 1-15 change being so close to Olive Garden! We went and visited the cemetery for old time's sake. Haha. It was cold so we hung out in my lounge for the rest of the night.
